invitation.social ("we", "us", "our") is a platform for creating and managing event invitations. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this to create and manage your account.

Event Data

When you create an event, we store the event details you provide: title, date, venue, description, theme settings, and any images you upload. This data is necessary to display your invitation to guests.

Guest Data

When you add guests, we store their names, email addresses, and phone numbers that you provide. When guests RSVP, we store their responses including attendance status, dietary preferences, plus-one information, and song requests (if enabled).

Photos

When guests upload photos to an event gallery, we store those images. Photos are associated with the event and the guest who uploaded them.

Usage Data

We automatically collect basic usage information such as pages visited and features used. We do not use third-party tracking or analytics services.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your event invitations
• To send invitation emails to your guests on your behalf
• To track RSVPs and provide guest management tools
• To generate AI-powered invitation designs when you use the AI designer
• To process payments for Pro plan subscriptions
• To communicate with you about your account or events

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With your guests: Event details and the host's name are visible to invited guests via their unique invite link.
• Service providers: We use Cloudflare for hosting, infrastructure, and AI image generation (via Cloudflare Workers AI); Google for authentication; Stripe for payment processing; and Anthropic for AI content generation (invitation text and image prompts). When you use the AI designer, your event description is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate invitation content, and to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate images. These providers process data via their APIs under their respective privacy policies and do not use your data for model training.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) for all data transfers. Event images are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage.

Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plain text. We also support Google Sign-In as an alternative authentication method.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — view all your events, guests, and account information from your dashboard
• Export your data — download guest lists and contact information as CSV files
• Delete your data — delete individual events or your entire account
• Correct your data — edit event details, guest information, and profile settings at any time

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

Children's Privacy

invitation.social is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
